Madison photographer Justin Gleicher and his traveling companion, Becca, traveled to Peru and documented the 4-week journey of adventure and exploration with his Canon 5d Mark II. “Peru is a place of bright colors, expansive vistas, and fun and playful people. The photos reflect the diversity of the country's natural heritage, and show a glimpse of its cultural heritage as well. As bold as some of the pictures are, they do not do justice to the creations of the Inca as seen in person”. Eleven photos will be on display and were taken at Machu Picchu, Arequipa, Lima, the Sacred Valley surrounding Cusco, the aqueducts outside Nazca, the small fishing village of Huanchaco on the Northern Coast, the Cordillera Blanca mountains near Huarez, and a few other locations.
“Photos from Peru” will run Thursday, December 22, 2011-Thursday,
January 19, 2012. The artist will host an opening reception
Friday, December 30, from 6-11 pm, and Project Lodge will host a
closing reception
January 14, 2011 from 7-10pm.
